Ullswater, one of the beautiful quieter lakes of the Park, is only a 5 minute drive.  Similarly Penrith, a small market town with the full range of shops, gift shops, restaurants and takeaways is 10 minutes drive; Keswick a fifteen minute drive to the West.

The Barn is set in the centre of the village of Stainton on the edge of the Lake District National Park.  Its location, 5 minutes from the M6 and A66, makes travelling to all parts of Cumbria and the Pennines easy without the delays of central Lake District traffic in the peak holiday period.
