The Barn has a rustic and cosy feel but offers very spacious accommodation for up to 8 people.

 

 Downstairs, there is a large family kitchen with a flagstone floor.  It contains all the essentials to make family holidays easier including a hob, fan-assisted oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster and the usual full range of kitchen equipment.

 

Next is a study where you will find local tourist information brochures. There is also a phone which accepts incoming calls or outgoing 999 calls

 Adjoining the lounge is a Snug with more sofas, a second TV, DVD and Video player, along with  selection of  books and a computer games console.

 

The main bathroom has a roll top bath (essential after a long hike!), toilet, sink and bidet.

 

The lounge is open full height to the beams with a galleried landing which contains the dining area.

 

The property has central heating but there is also a log-burner in the lounge for a cosier feel.  A leather sofa, TV with Freeview, video, DVD Recorder & stereo are provided.

The master bedroom is large with exposed beams and an en-suite with a shower.

 

The second bedroom is also spacious with a double bed and sink. The third bedroom is a further double room and finally there is a children’s room with 2 single beds.

 

 The added bonus for family holidays is a children's play-loft with a selection of toys—accessed via the secret ‘Mousehole’.

 

A travel cot, stair gate, pushchair, highchair, and baby monitor  are available.

 

The Barn has an enclosed cottage-style garden with a lawn and a patio area with a charcoal BBQ for your use.

 

Outside there is off road parking for 2 cars but other parking is available nearby.

Having stayed in several holiday homes ourselves, we wanted to provide the extras that make family trips easier and more homely. Therefore both linen and towels are provided with a welcome tea/coffee pack and a starter supply of firewood. Similarly, all utilities are included in the holiday cost.

 

Should you require a basic first shop to be waiting at the barn this can be arranged, as well as wine/cakes etc for special occasions (details available on request).
